Afternoon Tea with the Women's Ministry - Online
Did you know that teahouses in the United States popped up from NYC to Atlanta during the 19th Century and were the only places where women could meet with their friends? Many teahouses were the first women-owned businesses in the community. Women connected over a cup of tea and even organized their fight for equality in the teahouses. Let’s create a virtual teahouse and cheer the women who blazed a trail over tea.
Why not bring something meaningful to share: a special cup and saucer from your wedding china... a favorite mug you picked up on a family vacation... a family heirloom that tells your family's story? And if you wish, you can go all out for your tea service with a pastry and tea sandwich. Or just sip a cup of tea or other beverage, it’s up to you.
All are welcome at our virtual teahouse, and if you have a friend who has never attended a Marble event invite her to join you.
