Hallowtide Evening of Remembrance: Together We Rise in Hope - Online
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
During this 2020 Hallowtide season, more than ever before, we are called to gather and pause in gratitude for those beloved lives who have left us this past year to soar on eagle’s wings into the arms of God.
In a live-streamed Evening of Remembrance, be uplifted and comforted through prayers and words from our spiritual leaders, Dr. Kenneth Ruge, Rev. Barbara Cawthorne Crafton, and Rev. J. Elise Brown.
Through the magic of technology, our beloved pastor, Dr. Arthur Caliandro, offers a message of encouragement and support. And Rev. Rashad McPherson and Deah Harriott provide musical meditation.
A candle lighting ceremony and our virtual *Altar of Remembrance closes the evening with a period of reflection to honor the names of those saints we have lost this past year. Please join us in lighting your own candle of love.
*You are invited to email the names of one or two loved ones you would like included in a visual montage at the Altar of Remembrance. Send names to program coordinator Don Piper no later than Saturday, October 24.
This program is hosted by the Marble Women’s Ministry and open to all.
