Marble Care Fund

A Lifeline in Times of Crisis

“God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together...”
– 1 Corinthians 12:24-26 (English Standard Version)

As members of the body of Christ, we in the Marble Community have a responsibility to each other – in sickness and in health, in poverty and prosperity, in community and in isolation. Currently, we don’t have the power of touch or even face-to-face relationships to encourage each other. Yet, we have not lost the power of caring.

What is the Marble Care Fund?

The Marble Care Fund is a gift intended for emergency financial assistance to be used when the family or individual requesting assistance has explored all other possibilities of help from family, friends, savings, or investments. It is intended to be a source of last resort, a temporary help during a time of crisis, and not a source of income for monthly and routine expenses. The gift shall not exceed $2,500 per person or family.

When all other possible sources of funds have been tapped, the Marble Care Fund can be a lifeline during a time of crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

For detailed information, see “Guidelines & Policies.”

Who is Eligible for the Marble Care Fund?

Recipients may be Marble Collegiate Church members, regular attendees, or members of the community who have been recommended by a Marble Church member.

Our hope is to raise $100,000 to be used for Marble Care Fund. Our expectation is that many recipients would be able to contribute to the Marble Care Fund at a future time, thus assuring a self-sustaining fund for future emergencies.

These days, we must all take care of each other even as we reaffirm that God will take care of us. Together, we can grow deeper, grow relationally, grow young across generations, and grow in generosity.
