Marble Care Line

Confidential, Christ-centered support for those who are hurting from those who care.

Please note: The Marble Care Line will be discontinued as of April 1. The Care Line served a much-needed purpose during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when emotional and spiritual support were critically needed. Over time, use of the Care Line has diminished so we feel now would be a good time to discontinue the service. We thank all of the volunteers who logged countless hours, as well as the Steering Committee and other staff who helped to put the framework together. Please continue to reach out to our Stephen Ministers for long-term Christ-centered care or to Blanton-Peale Counseling Center as necessary.

Seek the Lord and divine strength, seek the Lord’s presence continually. - 1 Chronicles 16:11

Praise be to the God of all compassion and comfort. God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. - Corinthians 1:3-4

About

Life as we know it has changed drastically and with this has emerged a number of spiritual and emotional needs in our communities. The Marble Care Line Ministry is intended to help us spread God’s love and hope through caring support. The Care Line’s trained volunteers provide non-judgmental, active listening to callers. If you need to speak to someone during these challenging times – perhaps you feel lonely, have experienced loss, lost your job, lost a loved one, are ill, or perhaps you feel stuck and cannot decide how to move forward, call The Marble Care Line and get the support you need. A trained volunteer will be there to listen to you with a Christ-centered ear, a caring heart, and a commitment to keeping all that you share in confidence. You do not need to walk this journey alone – we are here to walk alongside you.

Our goal is to share God’s love and hope and ensure that callers get the most appropriate and compassionate support to meet their needs.

Confidentiality

Please know that our policy is to hold all calls in confidence and that we value the trust you place in us. However, there are times when Care Line volunteers may be required by law to break confidentiality. An example of this may be when callers are perceived to be in immediate danger to themselves or others, and in such cases, we may need to break confidentiality by contacting the proper authorities to intervene for the safety of the caller or others.
