Peaceable Kingdom

Dedication: November 11, 2001

Upper Scene (Isaiah 11:6-9): A vision of the Peaceable Kingdom: humanity living in harmony with creation. A child leads a procession to the Holy Mountain, and the tree of life is a reminder of Eden; its leaves are inscribed with names of every country in the world. The rainbow is a sign of God’s covenant along with the seven doves representing seven gifts of grace.

Lower Scene (Ruth 1:16): From the story of Ruth and Naomi: “Where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay.” The central theme is of eternal witness to God’s love for all and acceptance of diversity.
