Support Groups

Life brings challenging times to all of us, yet having a loving community of faith pray for you, listen to you, and support you in a myriad of ways can help you feel God’s presence as you move through life’s struggles.

At Marble, we offer a ministry of support for people going through grief, divorce, and other types of loss through individual and possible group counseling.

Pastoral Care for the Congregation

We are trying to reach out to people we have not seen for a while and ask the congregation to help us with this effort. If you know someone from Marble who has become homebound, is suffering from illness or could benefit from a pastoral call from a Marble minister, please let us know by contacting Judy Tulin, Pastoral Care Coordinator. We sometimes find out about members or friends of the congregation suffering from challenges after they have been struggling for a long time. We are here for the congregation and want to help in every way we can. Thanks, in advance, for your partnership in offering strong, responsive pastoral care to the Marble congregation.

Bereavement Group

Are you mourning the loss of a loved one? You need not travel this road alone. You are invited to attend our Bereavement Group where you will receive emotional, physical, and spiritual support to help you in the healing process. Share your story in a confidential atmosphere of love and faith.

The group meets most Mondays, 11:00am-12:15pm. For questions or more information, contact Judy Tulin, (212) 686-2770, ext. 207.

Caregiving Support Group

The Caregivers Support Group offers guidance and spiritual support to those providing care to a loved one. You will receive Self-Care Tips and Tools to help you become a Caregiver with new strength and vitality so that you can provide better care to your loved one and also protect your own health and well-being. Each meeting includes confidential, professionally facilitated conversation sharing the challenges a Caregiver faces, as well as a Guided Relaxation Meditation.

The group is facilitated by Rev. Marion Gambardella and generally meets on the first Saturday of each month, 1:00-3:00pm. There is no charge.

If interested in joining the group, please email Rev. Marion Gambardella, or you may contact Judy Tulin at the church.
